We organized at our first reunion in Charleston, SC in September
of 1989. Thanks to Billy Holt, who placed a notice in the VFW magizine. Chester Pike was elected President (and
did a great job of organizing) and Billy Holt was elected Vice President. Ann Pike was chosen as Secretary-Treasurer.
He remained President until family health problems permitted him to continue. James Allen took over the reins and in 2003
was forced, due to health problems, to turn it over to me. Several shipmates had asked me about a web page so I
am giving it a try. Knowing nothing about setting up a web page, I did some research and settled on "BIZLAND" for help. With
their templates and etc. I think we are on our way.
